Calling all DEAs: RdSAP is getting an update!
As assessors will remember fondly, RdSAP 10 was released in June 2025. To mark its first birthday, an update to the calculation is being released which will refine the calculation methodology and address industry feedback.
As well as refinements to how the EPC bandings and descriptions will be calculated, the update will implement smart thermostats, such as Hive and Nest. This allows these devices to be factored into the final rating, rewarding properties that utilise adaptive heating controls.
To help assessors navigate this update, we’ve put together a helpful 15-minute walkthrough video. This covers the technical changes in detail and demonstrates how to implement them within the iQ-Energy software to ensure your lodgements remain accurate.
We are targeting the first week of June 2026 for implementation. Whilst Quidos already has full software approval, the release is dependent on other Schemes and software providers so may be liable to change, please a close eye on your inbox and the Quidos social media channels when we know a definitive ‘go live’ date.
